Ganz oben auf der Wunschliste stehen Materialien f\u00fcr den Prothesenbau, die in Uganda fehlen. Besonders erfreulich war die Zusage der Firma Gierth-X-Ray aus Deutschland, eine komplette R\u00f6ntgenanlage sowie Zubeh\u00f6r von deutschen Tier\u00e4rzten bereitzustellen. Diese Ausr\u00fcstung kann auch von TOKA Animal Care genutzt werden. Besonders ber\u00fchrend war die Begegnung mit einem 12-j\u00e4hrigen Jungen, der bei einem Verkehrsunfall sein Bein verlor und bald eine Prothese erhalten soll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/puc-africa.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1682933669.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-486\" srcset=\"https:\/\/puc-africa.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1682933669.jpg 480w, https:\/\/puc-africa.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1682933669-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/puc-africa.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1682933669-9x12.jpg 9w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rollstuhl\u00fcbergabe an Mrs. Kabaale<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bei unserem Besuch im November 2017 konnten wir Mrs. Kabaale aus Namusiisi Village endlich ihren lang ersehnten Rollstuhl \u00fcbergeben. Sie lebt weit abgelegen als Selbstversorgerin und hatte seit Jahren ihr Haus nicht verlassen. Nach der Untersuchung durch Dr. Patrick Mugeri wurde klar, dass sie mit einer Prothese wieder gehen kann. Nun beginnt das Training, um ihre Gehf\u00e4higkeit zur\u00fcckzugewinnen. Deutsche und ugandische Orthop\u00e4den arbeiten seitdem Seite an Seite, tauschen Erfahrungen und Techniken aus. F\u00fcr Juli 2018 ist eine deutsch-ugandische orthop\u00e4dische Konferenz geplant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mit dem fachlichen Leiter Muwanga Sulaiman wurde zudem der Wunsch nach einer neuen R\u00f6ntgenanlage besprochen, da das alte Ger\u00e4t bald ersetzt werden muss. Ohne die gro\u00dfartige Unterst\u00fctzung der Spedition Freiberg und der Sanit\u00e4tsh\u00e4user \u201eKr\u00e4mer\u201c (Husum) sowie \u201eSch\u00fctt &amp; Jahn\u201c (Flensburg) w\u00e4re der Transport nicht m\u00f6glich gewesen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diese Hilfsg\u00fcter erm\u00f6glichen es den Patienten, ihre Mobilit\u00e4t und Selbstst\u00e4ndigkeit zur\u00fcckzugewinnen. Ein besonderes Dankesch\u00f6n gilt allen, die beim Sammeln, Verladen und Packen geholfen haben.
