{"id":547,"date":"2024-06-13T15:55:39","date_gmt":"2024-06-13T13:55:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/puc-africa.de\/?p=547"},"modified":"2025-06-23T13:08:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T11:08:16","slug":"hoffnung-fuer-amputierte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/puc-africa.de\/en\/projekte\/gesundheit\/orthopaedie-st-josephs\/hoffnung-fuer-amputierte\/","title":{"rendered":"Hoffnung f\u00fcr Amputierte"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2024: Nachdem das St. Joseph Orthopedic Health Center durch Unterst\u00fctzung von PUC und der Rotarischen Clubs Nieb\u00fcll, Husum und F\u00f6hr im vergangenen Jahr 45 Patienten mit hochwertigen Bein-Prothesen versorgen und dadurch helfen konnte, in ein neues, aufrechtes Leben zu gehen, ist es weithin in der Region bekannt geworden. Mehr Amputierte, als versorgt werden k\u00f6nnen, melden sich mit der Bitte um eine Prothese im Centrum. Auch nach Auslaufen des District Grants von Rotary setzen die Orthop\u00e4den ihre Arbeit fort, nun wieder mit den herk\u00f6mmlichen lokalen Materialien. Die wenigen Einnahmen, die sie aus den geringen Zahlungen der versorgten Patienten erhalten (wenn sie denn \u00fcberhaupt zahlen k\u00f6nnen), decken die Kosten f\u00fcr die hochwertigen Produkte aus Deutschland nicht. Aber auch mit dem, was erschwinglich ist, k\u00f6nnen die Mitarbeiter des St. Joseph-Teams vielen Menschen helfen, wieder auf beiden Beinen ins Leben zu gehen! Und der junge Orthop\u00e4die-Techniker Isaac ist stolz, diese Arbeit tun und von seinem \u00e4lteren Kollegen Patrick lernen zu k\u00f6nnen.
